Bethesda Children’s Home was given the distinct honor of being named the Large Nonprofit of the Year on Thursday, April 30, 2015 by the Meadville-Western Crawford County Chamber of Commerce. This prestigious award was given to Bethesda at the Chamber’s Annual Diamond Awards Banquet held at the Pampered Pallet Catering and Banquet Center in Saegertown, PA on Thursday, April 30, 2015. Among the other nominees in this category were Active Aging, Inc. of Meadville and the Meadville Area Recreation Complex (MARC).
Bethesda CEO, Gene Wisinski, was quick to thank his staff for their hard work and dedication to the mission of Bethesda which is to help kids through some of the toughest years of their lives and to assist them in making a transformative change.
Bethesda Children’s Home is proud of its 96 year history in Meadville and the many Western Pennsylvania children, youth, and families that they have helped over the years.
Thank you to all of those who attended our first Scholarship Art Auction Gala. Everyone that attended had a great time and the event was agreeably a first class event.
The Bethesda Foundation for Children Art Auction benefits our newly formed scholarship program to help youth at Bethesda who will pursue higher education, technical or trade school.
Bethesda Foundation for Children will award 2 scholarships of $1,000 in 2015 and will continue to increase the fund for future scholarships.
